What color Christmas ornaments should I get?

When I was growing up, each member of my family had a plain gl Christmas bulb with our names painted on them, we got them from Bronner's. Being the traditionalist that I am, I want to do the same thing for my family, now that my hubby and I have a little girl. We always had Christmas color ornaments (red, green, gold), when I was a kid, but I was thinking of getting different colors to go on our tree now. Should I keep with tradition, or vary it a bit? Our tree is a prelit one with multicolored lights, so either way would work.
